I just wanted to say how overwhelmed I am with the warm send-offs that I have been receiving. First of all, especially from my students who brought me balloons, a cake that says "Bon Voyage," and a singing card. (Megan, I will keep your smiling picture on my wall--thank you for all of your kind words and I am sorry I am missing your performance of Sweeney Todd)
Thanks to my kind department who is allowing me to take a bunch of pictures while in Africa with a memory chip.
Good luck to my sub, Jane Diamond Martin, who will have so much fun with the French students. I am thankful that I do not need worry about my classes because they are in such capable hands.
Most of all, I will miss my little boy, Vaughan! Have fun with Daddy!
